Dark Pony Designs is a handmade fashion brand for women. I started it as a creative outlet and also to help bring in money for my family during the economic downturn of 2009.

So far I have used the Kiva loan for updating sewing equipment, a new laptop, hiring freelance sewing help, supplies for a new jewelry line, a new handbag line, and to fund attending an entrepreneurial conference.

My advice to potential Kiva borrowers is to have hope!  There are many people out there in the world who want to help you succeed.  Some of them you know and some you don't.

Kiva has given me a new perspective on what can happen when people understand the importance of helping the small business owner.  I feel supported and encouraged.  Thank you! This loan is making my life better :-)

At first I was doubtful about obtaining a Kiva loan, but in the end people I know and many I didn't said yes to giving my small fashion business a chance.  I was blown away!

I am so happy to be part of the Kiva community.  I am so grateful.  Thank you for supporting a woman in business!!
